HER

I was on my deep pretty sleep when my phone rang, someone is calling me. I opened my eyes to see who's the one calling me. It's my dad so I accept his call.
"Sapphrell,come to my office now!" An authorised voice was heard from the caller. I stand properly because of my father's demand.
'Wtf!'. My mind cursed also knowing my father is angry literally. So I run as fast as I can to fix myself to the bathroom. After bathing and clothing myself,I looked myself on the mirror.
"Perfect!"I blurted out before going out. While driving my car,I remember the reason behind my father's quick call lately.Now, I'm going to my dad's company.
Nakarating na ako sa Chua Company and there I saw all eyes on me while I'm walking with the sound of my hills. I wear my emotionless smile to them.
"Good afternoon madam."bati ng mga employees ni Dad sakin.
But I remained my face straight without looking at them.
They know me as a cold and heartless person ,but not the real reason behind those emotions that's why I don't care what they say. I'm not asking their opinion though.
As far as I know they're gossiping behind my back.
Nakita ko naman ang ayaw kong babae sa company ni dad,not to mention her name cause I hate it.
"Hello po madam Sap-" While she's trying to approach me with her plastic smile. I felt more disgusted to her. Too good to pretend huh.
"I know!" I cutted her words meaningfully and just ignored her and continued going to my dad's office.
Medyo inis naman na umalis ang secretary ni Dad pagkatapos niya akong irapan.The hell I care!Parehas din naman malalantod eh. I know this girl is trying to seduce my dad when mom died last five years ago.
Well, my dad is young when he married my mother at the age of 28, while my mother is 27 that time. Then after giving promise to me,an unexpected happened that night.
September 25 ,that time I thought my mother and my father we're going to surprise me for my birthday.But,I was the one who was being surprised by sadness.
My mother passed away because of a car accident unexpectedly. I can understand the situation that time because I was on my ten years existence that day.
I promised to myself that when the time comes,I will get the justice for my mothers' death.
Last year when I turned 18,the justice I seeked became successful through my own strength. Which the things I have right now is a secret and no one knows except my twins and my father.
"Bogsh!" I did that thing when I reached dad's office.
Sinipa ko lang naman ang pinto,kaya napatingin naman sakin ang kausap ni dad.
"Ooopppsss!sorry!"sarcastic na sabi ko kay dad habang masayang nakangiti sa kanya. Nakatayo lang ako dun na naghihintay sa sasabihin ni Dad.
"SAPPHIRE!"Galit na sigaw niya saken dahil nga sa wala akong modo kanina.But I remained pocker face.
"Kung hindi ko lang to tatay,siguro nasa ibang kanto na to napulot ngayon."I said in my mind while my hands are in my pocket hole of my jeans.
Napansin ko naman na imbes na mainis ang nasa tabi ni dad na matanda ay parang mas nagustuhan pa niya ang mga galawan na meron ako.
"Hmm...Henry siya na ba ang unica hija mo?"The old man asked to my father while he's looking at me with admiration in his eyes.
"Yes and she's here for an explanation,mind if you don't mind her talks."My father said to the old man who asked earlier.
I felt this old man is having a respective connection to my dad so I pretend now to be respectful.
"Now speak Sapphire!?"maawtoridad na utos ni Dad sakin habang may pinepermahan na letter.
I did not explain,instead I went near infront of the old man that made Dad looked at me with curiousity.
I sat down directly on the front seat of the sofa which in line having an intersection with the old man gaze.
I remembered something that's why I choose to look at him,the old man.
"Ahm... Grandpa what is your name po?"tanong ko dito kase naman si Dad mukhang hindi alam ang word na 'introduce your daughter and your visitor'.
Napansin ko naman na naalala naman ni Dad yun.
"Oh, I'm sorry,I forgot Don Fernan, she's Sapphire Elliaree,my one and only daughter. My apology again for not introducing you each other." Sabi nito na may respeto at paumanhin sa matandang kausap ko ngayon.
"Hmm..it's okay, by the way before I go,the invitation I gave you will be on Saturday night. It's my pleasure if you're present there Henry."Don Fernan said before waving goodbye but before he went out from my Dad's office,he blurted something that widen my eyes.
"Are you taken Ellia?"Don Fernan said with his questioning eyes while standing at the front door with his plain seniority.
"Why do you ask?"I asked in confusion while I'm looking at him also with a calm expression.
But after a period of minutes,I decided to say that I'm a single mom that made him in state of shocked reaction.
"I see.Okay!see you dear on the party and right..."Lumapit naman si Don Fernan kay Dad pagkatapos may binulong na akala mo di ko maririnig.
"Let her wear the beauty of star on the party."Napansin ko naman na nagulat si Dad sa sinabi nito.
"You sure about that Sir?"tanong ni Dad na nag-aalanganin pa.
'Tsk.What's wrong sa Beauty of star na yan?Is it very much to wear para mag-alangan si Dad na ipasuot saken? Tch.'
Tumango naman ito tsaka na nagpaalam sa aming dalawa dahil may bibisitahin daw siyang importanteng bagay.
Aalis na din sana ako kaso hindi pa ako nakakahawak sa door knob nung magsalita si Dad sa likod ko,dahilan para tumigil akong maglakad.
"Where do you think you're going Sapphire? Now speak before you go,what did you do this time?"He said that to me and so I only gave him my bored look.
"Fine."Sabi ko then inumpisahan ko ng mag-explain with matching action pa.
Wanna know why he yelled abruptly like that? Well,ganito lang naman ang nangyari.
Flashback:
After I receive a call from a stranger saying that the cctv footage in the hotel bar has been fixed. I immediately rush in Devhillion Academy to get my transfer letter.On my way going to my room, it's always the same. I'm always popular among the judges who's been watching at me.
"Oh!the b*tch is here" Yes.I'm a b*tch and a w*rfr*ak but I don't give a d*mn.
"Tsk! the attention seeker is here!"Another girl said that whereas on this part is very clear reprimanded on my mind.
But maybe because of my desperate attitude and action on forcing Hero Montel to become the father of my twins .
"Why don't I see her wearing make up today?"Another clown said to her friend but I ignored it.
Yeah I used to wear make up for him but now I'm on my true self without make-up.
"Oh,she's kinda beautiful naman pala kapag hindi naka-make up."mostly maririnig mo sa mga students sa Devhillion Academy habang nagbubulungan sila tungkol sa akin.
I already know the stares I got when I went inside our class. The class A section is the first section in third year college of Devhillion Academy.
"Look who's here?The cheater!tsk."Patty said to our class with her spoiled saliva. She's a bitch with a four face clown and full of cheap jewelries on her body while she's pertaining to me as a cheater.
Really huh?But I just looked at her deadpanned, ignoring her words and went on my chair.
"Is it true that she cheated?"Aliza said,one of my classmate,and she's the top three from the class.
"Yes I saw her also."Dona said,one of the top four in the class and she's wearing big glasses.
"Tsk,if I know she's a two-faced b*tch cheater in the class."Selin said,one of my ex-friends last week but I knew her colors abruptly that made me stay away from her presence.
Mga bulungan pero rinig naman.
This time di ko muna hinayaan na sumabog ako dahil baka mamaya lahat sila ay magulantang sa kinatatayuan nila.
Nakita ko naman ang mga dalawa kong kaibigan na kuno care concern sakin yun pala plastik din hahaha.
How good they are as they pretend befriended me. And now,they just look at me with a disgust look.Well, it's better for them to disgust me,the feelings are mutual.
"Now you have the guts to come here after cheating on the examination,how really impressive?"Kurt said sarcastically in front of me.
I just looked at him with a blank emotion, that's why he stopped from staring.
'Hmm,relax Sapphrell don't mind that guy.' After my mind said,I saw myself looking toward Hero with my blank expression. So I stand up to fix my neck tie because I don't want to kill someone in any minute.
Uupo na sana ako pero napansin ko na may humila sa upuan ko kaya naman napalingon ako sa humila nito.
"Ooops sorry!akin na toh."A new girl said to me with a hypocrite smile.This girl was holding my chair now and put it beside Hero's chair.
"Oo nga, sa kanya na yan kase siya ang papalit sayo,bye bye."Lucas said while irritating me with his dark hidden smile.
But I just remained calming myself silently standing.
"Good morning class!"bati ng professor namin.
Napansin ko naman na nainis ang mukha nito noong makita ako pero kalaunan ay pinaupo na kaming lahat.
Umupo na silang lahat,maliban sakin na nakatayo na lang dun habang masayang mga ngiti naman ang makikita sa paligid na wari'y nasisiyahan sa pagtayo ko na walang upuan.
"Miss Hillton what are you doing here?"tanong ni Professor
Is he id*ot? Can't he see? I'm here to learn for a reason because it's my last day studying with them.
So I used to stay calm even though the demon inside me is so much in trouble to let out a bomb.
Geez...
"Ah Sir nandito lang naman po ako para mag-"I said with a calm expression now, but he cut my words that made my mind change abruptly in talking to him in a nice way.
"You?mag-aaral?Or mangopya ng answers ng iba para lang makapasa?I'm telling you-"
I cut his words also.
Tsk ,f"*k this professor, he's getting into my nerves..how dare he insult me.
"I'm here to get my transfer request. Tsk."sabi ko then napatingin silang lahat sakin na laglag ang mga panga habang prente lang akong nakatayo dun na animo sasabog anytime.
"So you're going to transfer Miss Hill?Then good to hear that.By the way I will make sure you'll gonna go away with your fai-"Professor said to me but I cutted his words again for the second time.
"I know,so don't think too much!"I said that with a smirked on my face so his face crumpled with his priceless expression.
"You!"Galit na sigaw ni Professor sa akin pero di ko siya pinakinggan dahil may sarili akong batas na di niya nalalaman.
"Yes I am Professor."Humakbang naman ako papuntang harapan tsaka sila hinarap lahat. Alam ko na kanina pa sila lahat nanonood at marami na silang nasasabi.
"How dare you to--"I cut his words again for the third time that makes everyone inside the room gasp and cannot believe that I'm speaking to our professor like that.
"Yes professor. How dare me?"Lumakad ako palapit kay Professor then tinanggal ko ang aking glasses sa mga mata niya.
Napatunganga naman siya ng salubungin ko ang titig niya. Then after a second,he really realize something that made him shiver in fear.
Napansin naman nilang umaatras si Professor mula sakin. Well,I did not do something wrong,he just made it by himself. Realization strike him isn't it.?
"Class dismissed!" Sabi nito na nagpatigil sa bulungan ng mga kaklase ko tsaka dali-daling umalis ng walang paalam pero bago pa man siya nakaalis.
"Professor you forgot something!"Ngisi kong sabi na nagpatigil sa lakad niya.
Nag-aalanganin pa siyang balikan ako.
"Ah...,Wha-What i-is i-it yo-young-- I mean Miss Hill?"He said with a trembling hands because of nervousness.
Pinandilatan ko siya ng mata ng mapagtantong tatawagin niya ako sa position ko sa bahay.
"Here."Inabot ko sa kanya ang salamin niya at USB bago sabihing umalis na siya.
Ang binigay ko lang naman ay yung evidence kung sino ang nangopya.
Actually, yung new girl ang nang-set up sakin dahil desperada na siyang makuha ang posisyon ko sa classroom,bilang isang muse ni Hero.
When I looked at my classmates.They are all silent looking at me or should I say staring at me.Tsk.
"Done watching?"Sabi ko sa kanila with my cold voice as they are continuing to stare at me.
Then I left them all speechless.
But before that I heard some footsteps came inside our room and arrest the new girl who really cheated then when that new girl saw me.
"What the h*ck! I'm not the one who cheat! it was her!"She said ,then itinuro niya sakin ang kamay niya habang hawak siya ng mga guards ng school.
She deserves it anyway, for pete's sake my mother used to be intelligent and beautiful yet they are pertaining that I cheated that is not really true.
Hindi ko na lang ito nilingon then umalis na sa school na iyon.But before that,I used to take selfie for the last time and posted it on the page of Devhillion Academy with the caption.
"Signing out from Devhillion Academy."
End of flashback:
"That's it!?"Sabi ni Dad habang nakahawak sa baba niya.
"Yes Dad,alangan namang dagdagan ko pa?tsk."Usal ko na ikinainis naman ni Dad.
Napapikit naman ito dahil sa inasal ko bago muling magsalita.
"Well, there's no choice,halos lahat na yata ng school na pinasukan mo ay ayaw sayo ng tadhana BUT, iisa na lang na paaralan ang alam ko kung saan dun ka matututo. And I hope sana naman dun ka na tumino." Litanya naman ni Dad habang animo stressed na nakapikit siya sakin habang kaharap ako.
"Dad tell me if where is it?Hindi yung ang dami niyo pang sinasabi dyan,tsk."Usal ko na nagpatigil sa usapan namin. After one minute,Dad looked at me with his shotgun eyes.
"Sapphire can you please remove the word "TSK"on your vocabulary,it is very disrespectful,you--you look like a bad girl."He said with his cold aura while holding his phone.
"Okay,fine sorry."I said while eating gummy bear on his swivel chair.
"Simula bukas sa Hellion Academy ka na mag-aaral and(he stopped for a moment and looked at me seriously),some of the students in that school is not ordinary students but they have access in mafia and gangster world,so beware and good luck for your information."Sabi nito bago umalis dahil daw may meeting pang aasikasuhin.
After my Dad went out,I sighed deeply in excitement and anticipation for my plan.
Maybe that school suits me really and it will be.
