Ashy almost screamed at what was heard. If only the door of Jem's car had been opened, she would have been caught protesting. If she just didn't think they could be injured, she might have figured it out and jump oit the car.
"Are you serious!?" She replied that her eyes were so round that they almost popped out.
"Well, what friends are for, right? You're so strong for me. So congratulations on your new job, " she said with a laugh. while focusing on driving.
"You know what, I might think that you are doing this on purpose. How crazy. You know it can't be happening. It must be stopped, Jem, Ohhh my God that was so embarassing!. " Ashy protested as if someone care about the things she had to say.
"Ohhhhh ??? "No no...! " The friend answered once, waving her fingers.
"I mean it, you're crazy.. I'm really the one you put in that situation? You're embarrassing. I'm biting you, you know? " Ashy nodded, doing nothing but leaning back in the car seat.
She raised her eyebrows and stared at her friend, who Jem just laughed at.
"You know, sissy, you're not too worried, you shouldn't be. Because he agreed, " she said while laughing out loud.
"What ??? Oh my! Jem, are you serious about what you're saying? You know, right? This is probably the most embarrassing event in my life. Oh my goodness...!!I even overcame the joblessness in what you did? " she almost crampled her face if only she can get the chance to do so.
"Aren't you going to thank me? It's just work. There's nothing to be afraid of. Unless, you should be scared." She gave her friend a meaningful look.
Ashy just kept quiet. Her great friend has already betrayed her. She also doesn't want it to come out embarrassing when she doesn't show up as the personal secretary of their new boss.
"Ohh you've been quiet there. Are you mad? " She asked while still standing on the road.
"Why should I be angry? It's a small thing. I just thought, what kind of boss is Mr. Chavez? He looks kind, but I don't want to talk about it. " She sighed, then looked at her friend.
"You can get to know him too. I just know now, is that he' s good catch " she smiled meaningfully for a moment and then got hurt again. "He's handsome, rich and fragrant and ...." she laughed out loud.
"And?"
"And delectable... delectable to love." He whispered to her
Just laugh at them as friends; they are always like that. They laugh at the things that one does, but in the end, they don't lose concern about what situation they are in.
"Ash, is it okay to ask?" She smiled and looked at her for a moment.
"What's that?" Ash asked her in surprise.
"You will not get angry?"
"You look crazy. Why should I be angry? Being defensive, you're just going to ask? Why did you commit a crime? Except that you betrayed me to our boss?" She warned her with her words.
"Of course not? Ash, sometimes it doesn't cross your mind to have a boyfriend? I mean, it's been so long since, you know ... have you ever thought about having a boyfriend again?" It bit and turned to her.
She looked at her friend, but she also looked back at it. This is probably the question she couldn't answer at that time. Why didn't that even cross her mind? But up to this point, her heart is still blank about matters related to personal love.
"It's okay if you don't answer. I understand it anyway. It's okay,  because I know how my question turned to be nonsense." She tried to joke to ease the situation.
"I also don't know. Maybe it's because my mom and sister are my priority. I'm especially focused on mom. Dad is gone and I'm the only one she can count on. I'm still young and I'm not in a hurry." Answer it with a stingy smile.
"Anyway, you still won't fall on the calendar." 
"Why did you ask?" she asked her back.
"Nothing." The friend couldn't continue what he was going to say.
"Maybe I'm still affected by what happened to Storm and me. Maybe until now I haven't forgotten him. Maybe I still love him, and I'm waiting for him to come back, because we both know it won't happen again. It won't happen because it's fun. Maybe there are things that are hard to forget. He has been a part of my life. We were happy even when our relationship started out wrong. But don't forget that there are things that hurt me so much. He turned his back on me when I needed him. He chose to go with Girlie because they were going to have child then. He just promised me Jem, but that's all. " she gave a long answer to this.
"What if he comes back? What if he realizes that you're really the one he loves and he made a mistake in his decision?" The friend asked, deliberately slowing down the car.
"If he comes back, I can't do anything. First, I don't own the country. Second, he has people coming back here. His parents. But if your point is for him to come back into my life? That won't happen." It is a serious answer.
"It's hard to say it's over Ash. We can't control the things we feel. What if you discover that you still adore him one day?That he's really what your heart is waiting for?" Jem answered him as you looked at him seriously.
"If that time ever comes, I will choose not to follow my heart Jem. I will choose to be hurt once. I will not let what happened to us just happen again. I would rather love others, not him." It was a strong rebuke to the friend.
The friend didn't answer because she knew her anger would come out when Storm was the talk. Until they reached her house and she said goodbye.

She waited for the friend to leave. She stood outside their house for a long time when she did not realize that she was already in tears. She couldn't figure out if the alcohol she drank was effective or she was just saddened by Storm's sudden involvement in their conversation with a friend. That's right. Storm is really the reason why she can't love again. Because she's scared, is that the right reason? Yes, she is afraid that she will not be able to love the man she will be in a relationship with. "Ohh Ashy you're already there. Did you just arrive?" Her mom asked once after kissing her.
"Yes ma, Jem took me just as she left," she replied, rolling his eyes wet with tears.
"Oh, so come on and you can rest." It smiled at her
"Why are you still awake? Didn't I tell you not to wait for me?" This question goes to the mother.
"You know me, I can't sleep until I know you're not home yet. That's normal for me, Ashy, don't be surprised. What's the party like? How's your new boss?" It was an exciting question to ask the child.
"It's okay mom, he looks  kind. Besides, he looks approachable because he became friends with Jem right away. You know Jem, because she's making friends with a new guy. I guess almost everyone in every corner of the company knows her." She laughed in response.
"How about you? Didn't you know him? I mean if you talked.?" 
"No, I suddenly had a headache. I think I drank too much, so I got in the car first. I didn't talk to him, but I could be with him every day." its heap-loving promise.
"Why?"
"You wouldn't believe it mom, Jem did it again. Sir is rumored to be on the lookout for a personal secretary.Is it right that I am the one she presented without even asking me if I would agree? "  she taught herself as if accusing the mother.
Her mother just laughed at the way she looked while telling the story.
"Mom?"
"I'm sorry Ash, I just laughed at what your friend did. Maybe your boss is handsome, so she put you there. You know that friend of yours? She seems to have taken on her obligation to find you a boyfriend. "She said at once, as she closed her eyes.
She just laughed at what her mother said. Most likely, that is the role of a friend in her life. She also tried once before to mate her with some man, but she wouldn't like it even if she said he was rich. Maybe she was really at fault.
