THE TASTE OF LOVE 10

Chapter 10
Chrismith gazed at the woman laying on the bed beside him. Instead of bringing her to his house, he brought her to the nearest hotel. She was too frisky on bed that he had to fix the sheets that covered her soft legs again and again. Chris left the woman when he was sure that she is in a good condition.
"Mommy!"
He looked back when he heard her murmur.
"I don't want to be here anymore, Mommy!"
Chrismith stopped at the thought of touching the woman's forehead when she gripped his hand. But then, he let carefully moved his hand. He felt a bizarre feeling when she touched him.
"I don't want this kind of life, Mommy!" She sobbed while her eyes were still close.
Chris gritted his teeth and looked away after hearing that. He did not know why he felt that towards her. The thought of protecting her from whoever want to hurt her. Chrismith saw the tears and the sadness on her face, he then went out of the room. After that, he faced Larry who, is waiting for him.
"What do you want me to tell her when she ask me?" Larry asked.
"As I have already said to you, she should not know that I am the owner of the resto and also that I am the one who brought her here." Chris answered him formally. The room's reservation was under Larry's name.
"Are you that serious on her?" His friend asked again.
"What do you think?" Chris returned the question. Larry just shrugged his shoulder.
"I will be busy from now on, so I'm expecting you to manage the resto and take care of her when she visits again." He referred to Nica.
"Yah, you can count on me," Larry said while nodding. "I had called my cousin to take care of her while she's here in the hotel."
"Good," his short reply. Chris waited for his cousin first before leaving to make sure that there will be someone who will take good care of her.
"I hope the person that I'm going to take care of will always be that drunk, so I will always have a work." Bheng whispered to Larry after getting the money for her service tonight. She envies that woman because she could feel that she is very special to her boss. She admits that she has a huge crush on Chrismith but she already knows that he will never reciprocate her feelings.
"Please take care of her," Chrismith's last phrase before leaving.
The sunbeams made Nica awoke. She shaded her eyes against the sunlight and then open them little by little. She quickly stood up after remembering what she did last night.
"Darn, where am I?" She spatted her head as it throbbed with pain. She quickly touched her body when she found the place unfamiliar.
"You woke up early, hmm." Bheng greeted Nica while stretching her arms that got numb because she slept on the sofa.
Nica swiftly move the comforter close to her chest. She did not notice her earlier. "Who are you?" She asked.
Bheng yawned before answering the lady's question. "I am your rival."
"What?" She felt confused about her assertion.
"I mean, I am your maid since last night, Miss!"
"Stop fooling around!" Nica said with an irritated voice. The girl in front of her looks mischievous, pretty, but too thin, and she had never seen her before.
"Stagy, huh," Bheng commented when she saw her raised her eyebrow. "First of all, Miss, I am a girl, as you can see, so please don't suspect me from doing something with your body while you're drunk."
Nica frowned and rolled her eyes to hide the embarrassment she felt.
"I am Larry's cousin and he ordered me to take care of you last night."
Nica felt relieved after she realized who Bheng was referring to.
"And lastly!" She then breathed deeply like she had a heavy feeling. "I am Bheng, at your service, Senorita!" Bheng's introduction while bending down in front of her.
Nica grinned while watching the girl that was named Bheng. She wanted to criticize her introduction to her, but she chose to not do so.
"You have something to ask, Senorita?" Bheng asked while smiling.
"I want to say thank you so much, specially to your cousin." Even without smiling, she said that from the bottom of her heart. For the very first time, she slept on other's bed because she was drunk.
Nica is aware that she is in an unfamiliar place, but she just let herself to still be there because she felt that she is safe in that room.
"Can I leave you now, Senorita? Bheng asked when she saw that she is not paying attention to reality.
"Wait," she called her again. "Please accept this!" Nica handed her some cash as her thank you gift.
Bheng accepted the cash without any hesitation. "Thank you, Ma'am! If you have any thoughts in mind about what happened to you last night, you can come back there in the resto and find my cousin."
When Nica realized why she was in that place, she hurriedly entered the bathroom to fix herself. She needs to go in her office as soon as possible to know the plans of her evil stepmom and half-sister. She had also put that Mr. Yuchan on her list because she is assuming that he is a conspirator of her stepmother.
"You're still here?" Nica was surprised to see Bheng outside the bathroom.
"Let's leave together, Ma'am."
Nica gazed at the girl. Even though she looks kind, she still does not want to trust her.
"Maybe you need a maid as you leave, Ma'am?" Bheng said with a smile on her face while joining her on walking.
"I will think about it." Nica briefly answered.
Nica went home just to take a bath.
"IS this complete already?" Chrismith asked Rose while turning the pages of the folder. He is in the Rodriguez' company to personally take care of the mergers between their companies.
"Yes, Sir!"
"You may go now." He said as he felt that she is not moving from where she stands.
"Ahm, Sir, Ma'am Janice told me that if you need something, you can just call her in the next office."
Chrismith analyzed Nica's secretary. He does not like this secretary since the beginning because he does not feel that she has loyalty.
Rose went out all of a sudden as she felt like the young man was analyzing her. After going out of Chris' office, she panicked at the sight of her boss that is waiting for her.
"I thought that you wouldn't be here, Ma'am." Rose greeted the woman who is not in a good mood to deal with a plastic.
"Hmm, that's why you didn't do your works?" Nica said.
"I just brought Mr. Yuchan's papers." Rose explained, downcast.
"And who the hell do you think you are to give those papers to him without my permission?!" Nica yelled at her secretary that made her head throb with pain again.
"So-Sorry, Ma'am, I just followed your father's instructions." Rose stuttered because this is the first time she saw her boss rave.
Nica clenched her fist and gaze at her secretary coldly. She forced herself to calm and decided to lunge at that man right now. But, before she could enter the office, she heard her dad talking with her despicable sister.
"Dad already told me the problems of our company and I am willing to sacrifice myself for our business."
Nica felt weird after hearing those words from her sister's mouth. She did not continue to walk inside to eavesdrop.
"I'm sorry if we need to do this, Dad decided this because he wanted the company to be better." Chris calmly explained.
"You two look perfect." Margaret commended them.
Nica raised her eyebrows. She did not even know that this evil was there.
"Your Mom and I talked already and she's so happy that Janice accepted the agreements."
"Are you—" Chrismith could not continue his statement as the door opens.
"I already agreed to your offer, Dad!" Nica exclaimed while looking at her stepmother, she is serious.
"You inconsiderate woman! Don't you even know how to knock?!" Margaret commented.
Janice suddenly felt nervous after seeing her sister there.
"You don't look honorable, so stop acting like one." Nica answered her stepmother rudely.
"Nica!" Alfonso rebuked her.
"I am the one who will marry Mr. Yuchan. It's also for your good daughter, she does not have to make the sacrifice." Nica stated while grinning.
"The thing that my daughter will do is not called sacrificing, Chris and Janice is fine with each other." Margaret is absolutely against Nica.
"I am the daughter of the original owner of this company, thus I have to be the one who will marry him. I will never let your filthy daughter to handle my mom's business!"
"Nica, we are in front of someone," Alfonso calmly said because he knows that she will just be more mad if he higher his voice.
"You don't feel that awkward with my messy family, right?" Nica asked to the young man with a smile on her face. That grin faded as their eyes met. She felt like she was going to melt as his eyes gaze at her like he understands what she feels.
