Bab 5 MR. RENE

The old man wearing a navy blue uniform, Mr. Rene, he invited me to be come along with the new comers or newbies in voyage. The most interesting part that I love to fulfill as it is part of my plan — to study while traveling around the world. I lost my directions which I had to stop and pursue new life. I never thought that it would be easy to restart again. I walk into the room, they gave me a glimpse then I sat down to the nearest chair that I saw.
"Don't make yourself so sure about this matters. You will regret, Mademoiselle." Napatingala ako dahil sa boses na iyon. A briskly tone of Mr. Sigmund Enrique. "Never change your way because it will take an hours or more than the time you have wasted."
"Are you abasing my capabilities?"
"Try to calm," he smirked. "I am here to know your capabilities," he chuckled out of the blue. Inayos niya ang kaniyang salamin sa mata.
"Your insulting me!" I tried not to yell but I did somehow. He sat next to me.
"It's been one hour waiting for our teacher," the man in front of me complaint.
"He's late," the lady said.
"First day of orientation. Boring," the lad spelled out.
"Why you don't go in the airship. You can enjoy your day while you are in the dirigible balloon," Sir Sigmund Enrique comment with smirked.
"What?" The lad glanced at him. "Airship was a failure ship in the air!" his quite shouted at us.
"It's artificial," the man in front of man uttered.
A crude destruction that Sir Enrique made. Tumayo siya at naglakad sa harapan. "I am the first one came here in this class. Most of you are late but I never say anything or complaining in lieu I'm waiting." He diminished the irritating smirked. He begun to be calm to his words. "So, learning feels like you're waiting. You need to invest time while you are in the voyage. You must be careful to your complaints. The best thing you can do is to save your brain for knowledge and save your heart for your passion."
"It feels like you're wayfaring in your trek because after a one year here in the Symphony of the Seas. You must secure your—" he stopped and write on the blackboard, "Knowledge, repeat it and master."
"That will be submerging to hone my knowledge," a brunette hair lady smiling at him. "No doubt that you are our teacher."
"Sounds interesting, however, do you have any idea why are you here in my class?" As he said that, the lady grinned sweetly.
"Of course, I am an accelerated student, I passed the entrance exam in medicine. I came from rich family, my parents are doctors. We are a family of doctors. Aside from that, I want to alter my destiny so here I am in the ship," she sighed. "Perhaps, when I found out that there's an opportunity in your class. I abruptly came to learn something from you. Honestly, I don't have any idea but I am sure that you have a lot to impart us. I trust you, Monsieur."
"It's my pleasure, Mademoiselle." Tumalikod siya sa amin at muling nagsulat. He wrote his name and introduce himself in a formal manner. "I have three rules." Pagtaas niya ng kaniyang kamay. "First, you can leave in my class if you always complain," he explained it furthermore.
The lad raised his hand. "I always complain but I want to stay in your class."
"Thank you for informing me, sir Lev Will James."
Therefore, his gestures telling me that he doesn't take everything seriously in his age. But, it's my humble opinion. Napalingon ang lalaking nasa tapat ko.
"Can I borrow your pen?" So, I gave my pen to him.
"It's my pleasure, Mr. Skinner Maurice."
"Second, be punctual, respect my time." Again, he explained it furthermore.
Someone pat in my shoulder. "Can I borrow your pen?" Binigay ko naman kaagad sa kaniya iyon. "Thank you!"
"My third rule, be patience. I have this toxic trait. So, be vehemence."
Intresado akong matuto ngunit ano nga ba ang kaniya ituturo? I'm waiting for his syllabus ngunit nainip lalo ako sa bawat salitang pinapahayag niya. He distributed the free notebooks to every armchair.
His briskly tone.
"This is an orientation and I don't wanna use more time. See you tommorow. I appreciated your willingness to come here in my class. Dimiss."
Halos lahat ay nagtaas ng kamay. "The coverage of you lessons?" paghabol ng ginoo.
"Inside of your notebook. Everything you want to know is already there. Used your notebook for guidelines." Inusisa niya kaming lahat.
"Mademoiselle Emory Magalhaes, stay. Nurse Emmanuel will come to check you."
"No need." I stood up. Yung relo."
"Because I saw your last name and I just guessing if that's your father. His name was there in the wrist watch. Hindi mo ba nakita?"
Mukhang nagkamali ako ng akala sa kaniya. I checked the wrist watch na inilagay ko sa aking bulsa. I saw my father's name. "Magalhães..." I hissed. "Thank you for guessing it."
"I'm here. You look pale, how's you feel lady?" bakas ang pag-aalala nito.
"I'm good. I just need air." I bowed and left the room. Sinalubong ako ng karagatan at kalangitan na may kaginhawaan.
“You’re not alone in this. Asking for help is a sign of strength. I’m here for you."
"What do you mean?" pagtataka ko sa mga nabanggit niya.
"About your father. I heard Sigmund Enrique uttered your last name and Mr. Semyonovich."
"I don't wanna bring up about my father, Augustine." As they say, ‘Do not fear to give someone new, a chance to get to know you.’
"I understand. Let's have a lunch." "Samgyupsal!" This is the first time na kakain ako sa isang restaurant na ikaw mismo ang magluluto.
