Erik and Yuri had a talk on their way home that night. Yuri asked Erik about his life before and what orphanage he went. All this was instructed by her wife you explains to him about the person that Tiffany was looking for more than 10 years. They wanted to know if he was really him. Before they tell Tiffany.
“Erik, you told me before that you don’t have any known family member, right?”
“Yes. Why’d you ask?”
“Nothing. I suddenly remember it. What was the name of the orphanage that you grew up to?” Yuri carefully ask him trying to gain information while Erik who is focus on driving was not aware by the sudden questions.
“Heaven Orphanage. That’s my home but sadly it was closed down just a year after we met”
“Oh that’s why you are out there in the streets”
“Yes, Boss. What’s with the questions?”
“Nothing. Just curious about you”
He decided to stop asking him for the meantime. While talking to Erik he was secretly on the phone with his wife Jessica who was listening and recording their conversation.
“Erik, just curious. Do you have anyone in mind that you want to meet again? Or do you have someone that you are waiting?”
“There’s only one person I want to see again. I know someday our path will cross again. Until now I am still trying to look for her. But I don’t know how long can I go on trying to find her”
“What’s her name? Maybe I can help?”
“Tiffany Hwang”
Tiffany woke up with the worst headache in her life. Upon waking up, she notices that her living room is already cleaned. The smell of the coffee is all over the house.
“You’re awake. Here’s your coffee and medicine”
“What time did you arrive? I didn’t hear you opening the door”
“How would you even know. You are so drunk. I don’t know what makes you drink last night. But I have something important to tell you. But first, go take a bath. You wreck of alcohol”
It was the fastest bath that Tiffany had in her life. She felt so agitated about what Jessica is about to tell her. She is hoping it was something about Erik.
“You’re done?”
“What is it that you want to tell me?” Tiffany ask while drinking her coffee. Instead of answering her, Jessica opens her phone and place it on the table. She look at her best friend who has no clue about it.
“All your questions, everything that you want to ask me yesterday is in this recording” Before she could play the it she look at her friend again and hold her hand silently telling her that it’s now over, the person that she is longing for is soon will be beside her again.
The first thing that they heard was the laugh of man. It was a familiar laugh that Tiffany is so sure that it belongs to Erik and the other one is Yuri’s.
“Jess, it’s really Erik. He is Erik” Tiffany says while tearing up knowing that she finally found him
“He is. But you have to listen carefully. What you’re about to hear, none is your fault. I know you will feel guilty about it”
They continued listening to Erik and Yuri conversation
“You know Boss Yuri, I am not afraid to die because I think it is better to die than to continue living this life. It is so hard to be out here alone with no place to go, with no one to talk to. It’s really hard. But eventually I get used to it, going to places every now and then, working anywhere just for a small amount of money. You know, you will do anything just to survive. You will accept everything. I remember one night, I was sleeping in the park when a group of bad guy beat the hell out of me. They are asking me for some money, but I don’t even have a cent with me that time. They kept on hitting me. Then one of them saw my ring. They kept telling me to give that to them, but I ain’t gonna let that happen. I bowed to protect that ring even if it causes me my life. Thankfully the guard saw me and he brought me to the hospital. They gave me a good beating that makes me stay at the hospital for a week”
“You idiot. Your life is more important than that ring”
“Nah. That ring is my life. So I will protect that no matter what”
“Why’s that? Who gave you that?”
“She gave me this ring. This is my lucky charm. This is my ticket to her. My love gave me this. The only person that accepted who I was and loved me for who I am”
“You really love her don’t you?”
“I will never be here alive if not for her love. She is the angel sent to me. She is my strength whenever I want to give up on life”
The recording stops and Tiffany finally breaks down. She is crying so hard learning how hard Erik’s life was. All along she thought Erik was having a normal life but never did she imagine that Erik was still living in the streets with no food, no place of his own while she has everything that anyone could think of but she wasn’t happy about it.
“Erik needs me. I need him. I have to help him out this misery. Jess, you need to help because I can’t do alone”
“Anything Tiff. Just tell me what we need to do”
“First, I need you to bring Erik to your house. That is the safest place for us to meet. I am afraid Mrs.Young will find out about this. I can’t jeopardize Erik’s safety because of me”
“Yuri and I can do that for you. We will protect him too. don’t worry”
Later that evening, Tiffany was more eager to execute her plans to strip Mrs.Young from her power. Tiffany found out that other business of her was on the verge of bankruptcy. The only left to her is the Young Corporation. As the CEO, Mr.Young gave her a 15% share of the company that left him with 20%. Mrs.Young has 45%.
With the money that she’s been saving over the years she was able to buy one of Mrs.Young’s company. The fashion and apparel company. Jessica and her are both co-owner of that but Tiffany has more shares that her friend. Her identity as the new owner was still a secret from everyone because she planned to reveal herself when everything that Mrs.Young is hers.
After the fashion and apparel business, Tiffany recently acquire the car retail business of Mrs.Young. Just like her other business, her identity is still unknown. In due time she will reveal her face but her main focus now is to keep Erik safe.
Tiffany is living alone in her house. Her house is big enough for her to live alone. She decided that she will ask Erik to move in with her. She can’t afford to see him live on the streets.
She will turn her basement into another room where Erik will stay because she can’t let anyone know that they are together.
Everything is settled. She only needs a week to finish everything. And she only need to wait for a week to finally end the 10 years of finding him.
