Chapter 7
Myra got up from the chair and went outside with Jayson. She saw a bag with him, and dragged it
" Am guessing this is the meal. Don't worry, I'll just help you hold it ,till we get there" she told him
Jayson only smiled, and didn't say a word
They both walked in silence till they got to the place they were to board a cab to the hospital
Jayson flagged down an incoming taxi and they got in.
The drive to the hospital was a quiet and quick one. In no time, they were there.
Myra was the first to get down, and as soon as she did, she ran into the hospital ward
Jayson seeing this, quickly paid for the taxi fare and went after her. He knew how crazy she can get.
He got in and met her talking to the nurse at the reception.
" What do you think you're doing?" he asked, on getting to where she was
" Asking questions of course, what else?" she said defensively
" And you couldn't wait for me to come do that. Do you really have to be in a hurry?" he asked her, but she didn't reply.
He sighed and turned to the nurse
" Please...am here for my grandma. She was admitted earlier today" he told her
" Yeah, I know about that, and I think she's better now. Your brother has been here all day looking after her" the nurse told him
" That's nice. If you don't mind I'll like to go in now" he said to her
" Sure" the nurse replied with a smile
Jayson dragged Myra by the hand and started walking. He got to his grandmother's ward, and opened the door
They both went in. Jason was seated besides her on the bed. He had his head on the bed. Grandma was also fast asleep
Myra looked back at Jayson to see why he stopped walking
Then she noticed it; the deep sadness in his eyes. He was hurt
Myra knew that the best hing was to let him be and not disturb him, and that was why she decided not to inform him before waking up Jason .
" Hey Myra" Jason said on seeing her, rubbing his eyes sleepily
" Hey Jason. Long time" Myra said with her usual smiles
" Yeah. You…you just left" Jason said to her
" I didn't" Myra replied him
" How's she now?" she asked
" Well, what can I say, I aren't the doctor?" he said grudgingly
" Here, this is your lunch" Myra handed the lunch box to him
Jason grabbed it hurriedly. He was really hungry and exhausted. That was going to be his first meal for the day
He was in the process of consuming it when he remembered Jayson was the one that was suppose to bring the meal to him, so lowering down the lunch box, he asked
" Where's Jayson. Why isn't he here?"
" Oh!! yeah! We arrived together. Actually he's outside trying to fix the bills " Myra lied, and gave a lengthy laughter. Jason stared at her weirdly trying to figure out what exactly was making her laugh so hard
" That's alright" he said as he picked up the spoon.
He cupped a great amount of food into his mouth and began chewing
" Hmm..hmmm..this is good" he said in esctasy
Myra chuckled, and just watched him eat.
" Won't you wake Grandma. She's the reason you're here, right?" Jason said to her half way into his meal
" Yeah, but I don't think it will be wise of me to disturb her. She needs all the rest she can get now" Myra said
Jason nodded in agreement, and began eating while Myra just sat down..

" Go away, I don't want to repeat myself" Skyler screamed at the maids who had been trying their possible best to get her to go downstairs for dinner.
They knew they would be in hit soup if Mr Staffers gets to hear she hasn't eaten, but still she wouldn't care as much as to help them, even for the sake of them not losing their jobs
" If you do that one more time, I'll get you fired" she said to the last maid who knocked on the door
For goodness sake, she didn't want to and yet, they were hell bent on making her have dinner.
How much she hates being alone in that big dinning, surrounded with lots of chairs, but still, they are empty
What's the use? She can as well just eat in her room
The dining was as good as useless to her
She had made a promise to herself not to eat there again.
After her last threat, there weren't any knocks on the door.
Of course not; which one of them would dare disrespect her.
They fear her, far more than them losing their jobs. Disturbing her was the same thing and letting her be was way better, because there was a guarantee they won't get fired, but she threatening them means they would automatically get fired if they had continued. So being wise, they opted for the better option
Skyler, now feeling relaxed with all the noise gone, brought out her phone.
She was bored and there was no doubt about that, but what can she possibly do about it
The only thing she can do to ease her loneliness was music, but right then at that moment; she wasn't feeling it. It would take alot more than boredom to get her to sing.
So, she had to look for another option which was her phone.
She picked it up, and went to social media to check the recent news and happenings.
She did that for awhile and soon got tired of it. There was nothing interesting and exciting.
She dropped the phone on the bed and got up.
Her head was void of ideas.
What's she going to do?
She had no one to talk to. No one to play with. No one to share leisure time with. She was lonely and bored
She hated this life, and would do anything to get rid of it, but this was her
Skyler - a girl who was adorned by everyone ; but none knew what life was like for her
She began pacing round her room.
She did that for few minutes before an idea struck her.

Why hadn't she thought of him. Perhaps she can go over to his coffee shop and keep herself busy, but..
How would she get people not to recognize her. It was almost impossible not to, despite the fact that she uses sunshade most at times and even face cap
She thought of it and couldn't come up with anything,then an idea struck her
What is she was to dress and have half her face covered with a cloth.
It sounded like a good idea but still she couldn't do it
It wasn't just that she hated the dress sense, but because she couldn't.
She had only known him for a day, but that wasn't the major reason
He was a guy; and in as much as she wanted no very close relationship with anyone, if she had wanted one it would definitely not be with a guy
She was scared and didn't want to start getting attached
What if she gets there, and decided to go again, and after that she starts liking the idea. What will happen then?
Is she going to keep on with it and then it will lead to another thing?
Or is she going to brace herself and do the needful?
She thought about so many things and felt like she was going insane
She hated the idea of living.
Why was her life just so complicated?
She pitied those that envied her. They don't know the luxury they were enjoying, if they do they would have treasured it and stop wishing to be someone else.
If only she could get half of that life, she would be more than happy
After thinking for a long time without coming up with any reasonable and tangible idea, she went back to her bed
She fell tiredly on it and slept off

Myra walked out of the ward. She was going in search of Jayson. She had thought he was going to clear his head for some minutes and then get back, but that wasn't the case because he hasn't gotten back since he left, and she wasn't findings it funny any longer
Grandma Pamela was already awake and she was wondering why Jayson had reused to come in
She searched round and round the hospital but couldn't find him. She got scared at the thought that he might have gone back to the coffee shop
This thought made her cring to her bones. If that was the case, she was never going to forgive him
She got tired if searching and was about to go back to the ward when she heard his voice
" What are you doing out here?" he asked behind her, and she stopped.
