Three

Juliet thought as she walked out of her room. Chloe makes her feel welcome, and so does her father but Luke just doesn't want her here. The reason she even agreed was because of business. Her father and Mr. Cheng were planning on starting a new factory and since it was small scale, they wanted the kids to handle it. She wondered how that meaner was said to be the main manager. Since she came, the only thing she saw him do was play games all day. It was hard to believe he was a serious person. Of course, she had heard of his qualifications from her father. She just wondered how work would be with him.
Chloe wasn't joining them because she was in a fashion school. She even took modeling jobs. She was quite lucky that Chloe was on holiday when she came, if not she didn't know how it would be in this house with just Luke.
What do I do, I have to stay here and forget all those bad memories in Shanghai. The company was based in Beijing and the orange plantation was ready. They were going to visit it sooner and get everything ready before they start working.
Juliet walked down to the balcony and sat on the bench to play a game. At least, she could get things off her mind. Chloe came back tired today and went to bed early.
She was sitting when she heard Luke's voice, "Get up!" Why does the devil have to come here now?
She looked up surprisingly. "The bench is quite long for more than two people to sit on. Why don't you sit at the other side? " she said annoyed.
"Well, that's your problem. I've been sitting here for years and I'm not planning on sharing it with anyone. So get up!" he said harshly.
She finally couldn't hold it in again and got agitated. Thus, refused to get up. He smirked and sat down.
She smiled thinking that what she did must have gotten to his head when he pushed me off the bench. She gasped looking at him and he was smiling.
"You..." she got up and scowled at him but he wasn't even looking at her.  She clenched her fist and ran upstairs. She entered her room and sat down on the bed thinking. She grew up in a broken home. Her parents got a divorce when she was six. Her mom left going after her career and she had to grow up with my dad who was always absent. She remembered how long they'd been trying to look for her mom and that got her crying.
Her phone rang and it was her father calling. She ignored the call as she looked at the ceiling. The phone kept ringing but she didn't answer.
Luke was sitting alone on the bench with his phone as usual,  when a message was sent to me.
He opened it and it reads,
"If you're a guy and you're being mean to a girl you don't know and have never met in your life, then it definitely means that you like her." Who the hell.....
"What nonsense is this? " he wanted to delete it when his eyes caught up with the remaining part of the message.
"Deleting this message only means that you know I'm saying the truth. If you're trying to be mean to the girl just to stop her from falling in love with you then that is a bad approach. If she's just like you she'll like it. The worse part is if you make her cry.
His eyes widened and stood on his feet. Juliet should stay away from me and not like me for being mean to her. I insulted her today and pushed her off the bench. I hope she's not crying. He panicked and hurried upstairs to check on her.
I hope that the message I sent to my brother gets to his brain so he starts treating Juliet nicely. Someone laughed in her room.
When Luke reached upstairs Juliet's door was slightly opened. Taking a glance inside the room, to his surprise, she was crying.
"Oh my God. Did I make her cry?" he gasped. What's the worst thing that could happen if she cries? He brought out his phone quickly and sent the message but no response. Who could have sent this message? I'll just pretend as if nothing has happened. I just hope that Juliet doesn't think I like her. Hah! It's a good thing she's crying.
What do I do next? Chloe contemplated. It won't be easy anymore to get this two together. Brother seems to be staying away from Juliet. What I did just made me understand his intentions. He's so afraid to fall in love and thinking that being harsh on a girl will make her not like him is a stupid move. He doesn't even know if Juliet likes guys like that. No wonder no girl wants to be friends with him. He should be thankful to me.
