“Hala? 'Diba yan yung kasama nung nerd kanina?”
“Oo nga yung pinagkakaguluhan kanina sa section A. Yung humalik sa noo kanina ni nerdy at tinawag siyang m'loves.”
“Supporter ng school? May katungkulan siya sa school natin?”
“Sabi na mayaman siya e.”
Sunod-sunod nanaman na usapan ang nangyari dahil sa ginawa niya, imbis na siya na lang pagchichismisan nadamay pa ko at lalong lumaki dahil sinabi niyang girlfriend niya ko.
“Hi, I'm Thyrone Fierre, Nice to meet you all.” gulo man ang isipan ng lahat pero pumalakpak pa din kami, at pinaliwanag ng principal ang lahat.
“So recently, muntik na ma-bankrupt ang ating university due to lack of supporters or shall we say shareholders. So naisipan namin na maghanap ng new supporter and Fierre Company insisted to support our university so another clap for our new supporter.” pumalakpak ulit kami at pinalitan naman ni Thyrone ang principal sa microphone.
“A'right. since I'm new here, you can ask few questions about me or about things.” isa-isa na agad silang nagtaasan ng kamay.
“Yes please?” tinuro niya ang nasa bandang kanan at tumayo naman ito.
“Earlier, you said you are Lumina's boyfriend. Is it true? Or niligtas mo lang po?” nabalot kami ng katahimikan pero agad siyang nagsalita.
“I'll leave it to your imagination base sa nakita niyo kanina.”
“Hala!”
“Totoo nga yata!”
“Sana lahat Lumina!”
“Ang swerte ni nerd oh!” nahihiya na tuloy ako sa mga pinagsasasabi nila.
“Sir, anong klaseng company po ba ang Fierre company?” he just nodded.
“Good question, so I'll explain kung anong klaseng company ito. I'm sure you all have heard our company's name on news right? Iba't ibang klase matatagpuan niyo rito like technology, foods and all. May iba't iba din kaming branch, my father is the chairman of our company and I'm the CEO.” napa wow silang lahat at kahit ako ay nagulat, talaga naman palang napakayaman niya.
“Sir ilang taon na po kayo?”
“23.”
“Sir when is your birthday po?”
“Secret HAHA.”
“Sirr sabihin mo na!”
“Oo ngaa.”
“Okay, June 25.”
“Sir magkabirthday tayo!”
“Gano'n ba? HAHAHAHA.”
Bumalik na kami sa kani-kanilang classroom para simulan ang next class, strange but 'di sila nagtatanong. Well, okay na din yon. Nag-aayos ako ng bag ko ng biglang nakita ko ang notebook ko na puro scribble.
“Flirt” “Liar” at iba iba pang words ang nakasulat dito, nang napansin nilang nakita ko na ito nagtawanan ulit sila.
“Siguro may ginawa ka kay Sir Fierre para patulan ka?”
“Ano naman ibibigay niya e kahit ganda wala siya?”
“Baka.. Katawan?!” nagtawanan silang lahat, hindi ko alam pero unti-unting namamasa ang mata ko.
Pinipigilan ko umiyak, kumpara sa dating pambubully nila mas lumala ngayon. These kind of words, nasaktan ako.
“Paiyak na siya HAHAHA.”
“I clearly said earlier that don't bully Lumina right?” napatingin agad kami sa pinto, at agad niya kong nilapitan, nakita niya ang notebook ko na puro sulat. Bigla niya itong binato sa kanila.
“You guys are in college yet you act like a 10 year old kids who keep bullying someone for fun. 'Di pa ba kayo nagsasawa? Is it that fun to see someone having a hard time?! And it's all because of you?!”
Napatahimik silang lahat sa sinabi niya at nagulat din sa pagbato niya sa notebook ko sa kanila.
“Get it right students! You're in first year college not a grade one students. Is it right to act like this just because you want some fun? Some of you are above 18 or turning 18 pero yung ugali at kilos niyo hindi tumatanda. You should know the difference of right and wrong!” I don't know why, but he looks so matured and all, he's cool. He's sparkling in my eyes.
“Once I see again that you're doing this to my girlfriend, you won't like what I would do. You know that I'm richer and powerful than your parents. I can make you suffer twice or thrice than she has to experience because of your doings.”
He just suddenly popped out from nowhere, and saved me from these people. Hinatak niya agad ako at palabas ng school, at sinakay sa kotse niya.
“Sorry if I pulled you hard.” he looked at me, worriedly. But I kept quiet.
“Are you alright?” when he asked that, my tears fell one at a time. I cried so loud.
“H-Hey, why are you crying? Sorry I think I pulled you so hard.” he said, but he realized na it's about what happened, so he drove to a sea.
Bumaba siya at binaba din ako, My tears stopped falling when I felt the fresh air touching my body. Kasabay ng alon, kumakalma ako unti-unti. He sat on the sand at tumabi ako sa kaniya.
“Feels so good right?”
“Yeah, how do you know this place?”
“When I was in high school, my father is always angry dahil hindi ako enough. I'm a failure for him, so I rode a bus and nakatulog, when I woke up dito na pala nakarating yung bus so dito ako bumaba. I was mesmerized by the air and waves. I felt comforted.”
“I guess, you also had a hard time back then.” he just chuckled and looked at the ocean.
“Don't let them judge you Lumina.” I suddenly look at him.
“You know yourself better than anyone, don't let yourself down just because they are judging every bad features of you. Remember that you are a precious hidden gem.” when I heard that, I smiled.
I felt so special that time, I spent time with someone that can appreciate my whole existence.
Dinala niya ako sa isang chinese restaurant at umorder ng maraming pagkain.
“Sa lakas ng iyak mo baka nanghihina ka na, kumain ka muna.” Pakain pa lang siya pero nagtanong agad ako, tanong na kanina pa bumabagabag sa'kin.
“Why did you lie?” binaba niya agad ang kutsara't tinidor at napatingin sa'kin, our eyes met.
“Why did you do that?”
“Simple, 'cause I like you.”
“You like what?!” nagkamali ata ako ng narinig.
“C-Can you say it again? Did I misheard it?”
“I like you.”
“Are you kidding?! We just met a few days ago and now you like me?!”
“Well, it's not surprising that you're shock.” I just looked away annoyed because I know that he's lying.
“You caught my atttention, in that room.”
“I was locked that time, nakalimutan kong may susi ako. But suddenly, someone opened it. I can hear voices of two girls, but natutulog ako no'n so I ignored it without thinking na makakalabas na ko. But suddenly, I saw the other girl's shadow walking backwards, to the door. And she closed it.”
“I heard the other girl crying, her voice was trembling as she keeps begging to open the door. But the girl chose to walk away.” habang nagk-kwento siya, it's replaying on my mind. Kung gaano ako takot kanina.
“She kept crying and crying, and somehow, something inside me doesn't want her cry. So I pretended that I'm asleep and your voice woke me up.”
“Sorry about the mess that you saw. I'm sure naaawa ka sa'kin ngayon.”
“No, not at all. Any girls will cry after being locked into a dark room.”
“But that time, I hit you with a wood. I really thought there's a thief sleeping.”
“Sa gwapo kong 'to napagkamalan mo akong magnanakaw? That hurts.”
“No hindi iyon ang ibig kong sabihin.”
“I'm just kidding.” I chuckled, he's indeed fun to be with.
“Don't cry again, be strong. Don't waste your tears for that scumbags.”
“Thank you, for that.”
“You're welcome. Oh, our food will get cold, let's eat.”
“Sure.”
He's sweet, and gentle. That day, I felt like a special person. Beside him.
Thyrone's POV
As she was eating, I was curious about something.
“Gaano ka na katagal na nabubully?” I asked her.
“Since high school.”
“Woah, you're really a tough girl huh?”
“Haha, not at all.” we both chuckled, but suddenly, her faced got serious.
“As long as it's not my family, okay lang. Kahit ako na lang masaktan, okay lang. I just don't want to see my family suffering.” her seriousness when she said that, I can feel it. I can feel that she really love her family, I somehow admired her for that, or I'm being envy.”
“Ikaw? You said earlier something about your father, ikwento mo naman.” I almost opened my mouth because she was comforting to be with, it almost like she is another part of me.
“Secret.”
“Unfair, nag kwento ako but hindi ka nagkwento.”
“Haha sorry, maybe next time.”
Hinatid ko siya sa bahay niya, it was unaesthetic house. Halos sira na.
“Thanks for giving me a ride.”
“It's okay.” bigla siyang tinawag ng papa niya.
“Bye!” I just waved back.
Even though they are poor, they still love and care for each other. I'm envy of it, how I wish that I have that kind of family. I got home, but my drunk father greeted me with a cold tone voice.
“Thyrone.” I stopped from walking at the staircase and faced him.
“I heard what you did on that university. We're supporting that crap because we need to be famous, but don't disgrace our company's name. You're a CEO and act like one.”
“Yes, dad.” I walked up and got inside of my room, locked it up as usual and lied on my bed.
“How I really wish.” as I said on myself.
Lumina's POV
Kakatapos ko lang maligo, agad kong hinarap ang mga notebook at libro ko para mag aral. But, he suddenly popped up into my mind.
“You know yourself better than anyone, don't let yourself down just because they are judging every bad features of you. Remember that you are a precious hidden gem.”
Bigla kong naalala ang sinabi niya, and my body remembered how comforted and comfortable I am that time. My face suddenly got warm, I can feel that I'm blushing. Bigla akong napasampal sa sarili ko.
“Lumina! Gising! You still don't know if he really likes you. Don't let your guard down. I'm sure he's doing that to be fame on our university.”
Bumalik ako sa pag aaral ko, nang bigla ko nanamang naalala ang sinabi niya.
“Don't cry again, be strong. Don't waste your tears for that scumbags.” napasampal nanaman ako sa sarili ko.
“Lumina! Haist.” humiga na lang ako sa kama.
“I wonder what is he doing right now?” sa kakaisip ko, nakatulog na pala ako.
