They're currently walking to her house as silence surrounds them, and it ticks her off. She knows that the silence is comfortable, but she wants to talk to him and get to know him. After all, he was a student that's her father was tutoring. He may be closer to her father than her. She looks up, seeing that he is focused looking on the way, not even bothering to acknowledge her presence.
Getting tired of the silence, she attempted to speak, only for her to get stopped when Isami Shihou excused himself to go to a sweet store. She waited outside patiently. She wondered why he suddenly had an urge to go to a sweet store. After a few minutes, he returned with a chocolate bar in his hand and offered it to her. She looks at him, confused. Shihou returns the looks with a cold face.
"It's just a thank you gift! You go all the trouble waiting for me and bringing me to Seichi-sensei house!" he said, quickly looking away and eating the other chocolate. She sees him enjoying his chocolates; it seems like he likes chocolates. She smiles slightly, walking home with him.

"I'm going now, mom! Bye!" Mayumi said as she started running off the house. She heard the faint voice of her mother saying, take care. She smiles as she skips off the street going to her school.
As she reaches the school, she opens her shoe locker and changes her outside shoes with her school shoes. After changing, she turns around and startles, seeing a stick of mitarashi dango in front of her. Looking at the owner of those hands, she saw Miya Tennou giving her a cheeky smile as he offered the sweet.
Because she was in a hurry, she decided to take the mitarashi dango into Tennou's hands, saying thank you and walking away immediately. Not noticing Tennou's irritated face, he looks behind him to see Mayumi nowhere in sight. As he looked at her shoe locker, he saw a letter on the floor. Picking up and opening it, he found out that the letter was for Mayumi, the guy asking her to meet him after school. Anger filled his veins. He ripped the paper and put it in the trash.
Eating the mitarashi dango in her hands, she hurried off to her classroom to drop her bag and go to the teacher's office, where her father waited. As she entered, she saw her father boringly reading a book. Why did he tell her to hurry if he had so much time like that? She even left Rokuhiko and Benihime without saying anything, and she knows she made them confused and worried.
Walking toward her father, she sees how her father senses her presence, turning his head to look at her; her father's skill always amazes her without fail. Her father gives her a folder filled with papers; she looks confused.
"Dad, what is this for?" she asks in confusion.
"I need you to bring it to someone," her father said as he continued to read his book.
Shihou is on the way to school after dropping off his little sister Sayuri; his little sister is quite ill. So she wasn't allowed to go to school or outside their house too much. But she insisted that she wanted to go to school and study. After many attempts, they let her go to school. Once she got her approval, she started buying things needed for school.
Shihou could only smile at his little sister. He loves seeing his little sister happy. Thinking about his little sister, he didn't notice he had already arrived at his destination. He was about to walk to his shoe locker when a girl stopped him from doing so. He sees the girl asking him if he wants to go to her birthday party. He sighs.
"If you have so much time for a thing like that! Why don't you use that time to study? Don't go wasting your time over something bothersome like that!" he told her as he started to walk off, put his shoes on, and walk off to his classroom.
As he was walking, he remembered his mentor's daughter. He still can't believe that she was his mentor's daughter. Despite the blood that she inherited from her father, they didn't look alike. He didn't even know why he was so interested in this girl! If Tennou or his mentor knew about this, he's dead.
"Isami-san!"
Hearing someone calling him, he turns around and sees the girl he's been thinking of; seeing her running to him with a folder in hand, he wondered. Why is she approaching him? Getting himself together, acting cool, he faces her.
"Why? Do you need something?" he coldly asks as he glares at her trying his best to show that he doesn't want to talk to her even though it's the opposite. Mayumi makes a nervous face and slowly gives him the folder.
"Here you go Isami-san! Dad said to bring this paperwork to you! And finish it as soon as possible! He will take it back after school. That's what he said!" Mayumi said, smiling at him. He takes the folder from her hands, wondering what's the contents of the paper lying on it.
"Thanks for bringing this to me!"
"Your welcome, Isami-san. I should get going now!" she said, starting to walk away, stopping when Shihou told her to wait. Looking at him, confused, which made him uncomfortable. He avoided her gaze before looking at her again, his face showing a smile.
"Put formalities aside. Calling me by my surname from you when you're my mentor's daughter is a little stifling," he said.
He is so flustered, so he looks away from her. She giggles at his antics. He looks at her, startled when she suddenly laughs, only to see her having a smile that he finds admiring.
"Okay! Bye Shihou-san! I'm going now!" she said, starting to walk off. Shihou is still on his spot, not moving to look at the girl walking away in front of him.
He slowly and slowly got interested in her; this is not good! If he didn't stop this feeling about that girl, something might happen! Slowly he starts walking to his classroom, not noticing that some students see the two having a conversation.
Without the both of them knowing, rumors began to spread. It all started with the story of them being too close until it evolved into both of them dating. The word spreads fast because of their status, and it even reaches two persons' ears. After hearing it, the first person is ready to kill off someone, while the other one wants to beat the crap out of Shihou. By the time lunch break starts, it finally reaches Mayumi's ears.

"What?! Who told you that?!" Mayumi said in a panic. She is currently chatting with Momi, Kaya, Benihime, and Rokuhiko when suddenly Kaya brings out the rumor asking her if it's true.
"I think half of the school knows already!" Momi said to Mayumi, only to make her more nervous. If her father hears out about this rumor, he might kill someone!
"Who is the guy that Mayu is dating in the rumor?" Rokuhiko asked curiously.
"Isami Shihou!" Benihime said as she look Mayumi sulking in a corner.
"Eh?! Isn't Shihou is a year before us? He's a senior! He is the captain of the soccer team, which I'm in! And most of all, he's two years older than us!" Rokuhiko said angrily. He treats Mayumi as his sister, so he's protective of her. Mayumi looks at him, glaring.
"You two seem to be close. You're calling him by his first name!" she asks with a pout, still sulking in a corner. Rokuhiko huffed as he put his hand on his waist, and with pure confidence, he said,
"That's because I refuse to respect him!" as quick as he said that, he received a smack on the head from Benihime.
"But Isami-san is also popular in school, right?" Momi excitedly said.
"And Mayu's popular too!" Kaya butted in
"What if they fell in love with each other!" Momi and Kaya said in sync, which made Mayumi stands up and tell them the problem.
"If dad found out about this, he might kill Shihou! Besides that, he is my dad's student! We must clear this rumor out!"
"You're asking me if we're close because I call him by his first name, yet you called him by his first name!" Rokuhiko said, mocking her, only to receive another smack from Benihime.
"But, Mayu. What if fate leads you to each other?!" Momi exclaimed.
"Eh? Fate?!" Momi and Kaya nod to Mayumi.
Mayumi thinks about it, did fate want them to be together? She wasn't sure, but she was certain about one thing she needed to stop this rumor right now!
