Bab 3 My inmate's Fiance' is my ex-boyfriend

Chapter 3
"Ma'am, here's what you're looking for," the correctional officer promulgated to Doña Helena.
Doña Helena stared at her from head to toe as if she had examined her entire appearance. Kelly was confused because Doña Helena's demeanor changed and she even shook her head while staring at her.
"Ma'am, get me out of here," she sniffled as she wondered at Doña's facial expression.
Doña Helena didn't utter a word but she saw her carefully examine every angle of her face.
"I'll make sure you never get out of here because I won't let you take away everything I have!" Doña Helena shrieked as her lips trembled.
She was confused by what Doña Helena meaningfully told her because she did not have the right and power to seize something that did not belong to her.
Doña Helena curled up behind her. "Ah!" she gasped as Doña Helena suddenly pulled out strands of her hair.
"Don't you ever fight me because I will do everything I can to make you suffer!" she yelled as she glared at her.
Kelly glanced at Doña Helena and saw her holding the strands of her hair as she quickly inserted them into her white purse.
"Ma'am, I have no other wish but you to get me out of here and promise you'll never see me again," she wailed.
Doña Helena ignored her but instead walked over and handed a white bulging envelope to a prison warder.
She saw the prison warder signaled to her escort so she was immediately taken towards her fellow inmates.
In the distance, she saw Jhanice smiling while waiting for her.
"All right, hurry up so we can have breakfast together," Jhanice proposed as she handed her the towel.
Kelly quickly took a shower and changed her clothes and she was escorted by her escort to the canteen. A long table full of various dishes appeared in front of her and caught her attention the pompous design of the birthday celebration. She rolled her eyes and saw Jhanice wearing a pink gown that looked even more beautiful and appeared more sophisticated.
"Jhanice's really gorgeous and there's no doubt she's very rich," Kelly purred.
Jhanice was busy talking to her fellow inmates so Kelly thought of sitting aside.
"This is my last chance to be with you here, so let's have a drink," Jhanice cheered as she picked up a glass of wine.
Kelly was eating quitely but Jhanice approached her.
"Kelly, let's take a picture," Jhanice said enthusiastically to her.
She only nodded to Jhanice and slowly stood up because it puzzled her why a rich woman like Jhanice was imprisoned.
She stepped to the right side of Jhanice and they both smiled as Jhanice took the best shot.
"You're really glamorous and you look even more beautiful in the yellow dress I lent you," Jhanice complimented Kelly as she hugged her.
"Is this your last day here?" Kelly asked tearfully. "Daddy will pick me up today because I have already agreed to marry the man he chose for me," Jhanice sighed. "I want to be free here so I agreed to marry the man I haven't seen even a shadow of him," Jhanice's tears dripped as she hugged Kelly's arm. "Someday you'll learn to love him," Kelly patted her. "I would rather live luxuriously than suffer here inside the prison so I made up my mind to marry that man," Jhanice eyes were obviously sad.
"Be careful because I know you did that for yourself," she reminded Jhanice while also unable to restrain herself from sobbing. "I know we'll meet again so don't hesitate to come to me when you need anything," Jhanice suggested as she smiled at Kelly.
They talked for over an hour before Jhanice was picked up by her parents.
Shortly, after Jhanice left, the correctional officers arrived and sent them back to jail.
It was ten o'clock at night and Kelly was still not drowsy because she remembered Jhanice's kindness to her. Her fellow prisoners were asleep and she was the only one who woke up. She heard a noise so she peeked outside and she saw all the male prisoners had been moved to the other building. She also saw the prison warder watching outside and she couldn't be wrong because he was the man Doña Helena was talking to and was given a bulging white envelope. She just silently watched until she feel asleep.
Moments later, she heard a crash on their railing but she did not open her eyes because she was really very drowsy.
"Who's Kelly here?" the jail guard asked in his loud voice. Kelly was forced to get up and even her fellow inmates woke up as well. "I'm Kelly," she replied calmly. "Wear it," the jail guard commanded as he handed her the thick chain bracelet. "That's a sign that you're a new inmate here," the jail guard added.
Kelly got the chain bracelet and the jail guard left immediately.
"It's so nice!" her fellow prisoner was amazed. "We weren't given such a shiny bracelet when we were new inmates here," another inmate commented. "Divine, if you want this I'll give it to you," Kelly offered with a smile.
They went back to sleep but half an hour later they smelled smoke as if something was burning and they heard noise outside.
"There's a fire! There's a fire!" the male prisoners shouted. They peeked outside and saw that the fire had consumed the other cell. Fortunately, the male prisoners had been transferred to the other building. They began to panic and were even more nervous when the power suddenly went out.
"Help us! There's a fire!" they all shouted.
The smoke stank and they could hardly breathe. "Get us out of here! Have mercy on us!" Kelly's voice was almost hoarse and she was having a hard time breathing.
