Serena's POV
I was walking silently as I was heading home. I was too emersed reading at the library that I didn't notice the time. It was dawn already.
I was walking down the dark alley and I suddenly feel creeps. This was the part of the street na walang bahay though kapag nakalampas ka na dito ay may mga bahay na. I mentally facepalm myself. Bakit ba kasi ang hilig kong umuwi ng gabi? Ngayon ko pinagsisisihan na tinanggihan ko si Mommy ng sabihin niyang susunduin niya ako. As I was walking, pakiramdam ko may mga lalabas na tao dito para saktan ako and I was right. Men in dark cloaks appeared again.
"Shit" I mumbled softly. Why do I always get myself in troubles since this past days?!
After the incident in the forest, hindi ako ginulo ni Cheska nitong mga nakaraang araw. She had hurt her ankle so much and I take that as her karma.
"Anong kailangan niyo?!"
I bravely said. Dinala ako ni Mommy dito sa mundo ng mga ordinaryong tao para hindi ako sumali sa gulo ng mga tao ng Rivendell at sa Cassopeia but here they are, AGAIN.
"Leave me alone!"
I said in my cold voice but they started attacking me instead.
I build air blades around me until it was towering over me. This will protect me from their attacks temporarily. I build air spikes and with one blow I released all of it including the air blades.
Buti na lang, tinuruan ako ni Mommy na magsummon ng air blades at air spikes. Atleast, I could protect myself.
Bakit ba ang dami nila?! I was able to kill a lot pero marami pa rin sila. Patuloy pa rin kami sa pagpapalitan ng atake pero pakiramdam ko hindi sila nauubos. One would throw dark magic balls into me and another on the right would throw another dark magic balls and it goes the same on my left. Napapalibutan nila ako. May mga hindi ako maiwasan sa mga atake nila but good thing agad ding naghihilom ang mga sugat ko.
I attack the one that was in my front with air blades and attack the one from my behind with air spikes. Ramdam ko na ang pagod. We we are fighting for almost twenty minutes already. I had fresh cuts from my shoulders. Naghihilom agad ang mga sugat ko pero agad ding nadadagdagan. Imagine a one versus hundreds fight?! If Mom didn't thought me on how to create air spikes and air blades then for sure even if I had magic I would have died since a minute ago.
I was busy attacking the one in my right side that I didn't notice a dark ball was coming unto me. Then it hit me right at my shoulders. Napaupo ako. I winced in pain. They were about to attack me again when someone came into my rescue.
The woman wearing white cloak was standing right infront of me covering me from the enemies. I sigh in relief. Nang makita kong naghilom na ang mga sugat ko, I stand up from my feet. She snap her fingers and a white magic fastly spreads along the enemies. It rounded them so fast that in just 5 seconds they all died. I gasped both in shock and in awe. How can someone be this powerful?
"Wait lang!"
Sigaw ko ng paalis na siya. But she didn't stop. Not even turn around to face me. But instead she walks away fast until I couldn't see her anymore.
"Thank you for saving me once again."
I mumbled even if I knew hindi niya ako narinig dahil wala na siya. I am sure she was the same woman in white cloak in the forest before.
Agad naman akong naglakad palabas sa eskinita na yon ng makabalik ako sa katinuan. Who knows baka may mga natira pa sa kaaway, I wouldn't handle that anymore. As I came into the street na may mga tao na, that's when I sigh in relief.
"I promise hinding-hindi na ako  maglalakad pauwi at maaga na akong uuwi"
I said to myself as I walk fast.
I slowly turned our door open as I reach home. Pagkapasok ko, agad na tumayo si Mommy mula sa couch ng makita niya ako. She quickly gave me a peck in the cheek as she hugged me.
"I was about to fetch you kung hindi ka pa dumating."
"Don't worry Mom. Look, I'm fine. Andito na ako."
I told her as I spin around infront of her para ipakita na ayos lang ako. She then chuckled.
"Silly. Now go, magpalit ka na so we can have dinner. I know my baby's hungry, right?"
And as soon as Mom said that, ngayon ko maramdaman ang gutom. Even my stomach growled which made Mom laughed. Siguro kaya ako masyadong gutom ay dahil sa napagod ako kanina. The fight had almost consumed half of my energy. Agad akong tumakbo papunta sa kwarto ko to change my clothes while Mom went in the kitchen to prepare our food.
I was already in my pajama and was about to exit my room when I noticed that there was someone on my veranda. What the hell?! Did the enemies followed me here? Dahan-dahan akong lumapit doon and hide from the curtains. I look at my veranda and three men in dark cloaks was standing there. I almost gasped pero napigilan ko. Agad naman akong gumawa ng invisible air blades and aim at them directly. I opened my glass window as soon as I killed them to check kung may mga kasama pa sila pero wala.
Nang masiguro kong wala na silang ibang kasama, agad akong bumaba. I suddenly felt unsecured sa sarili kong bahay.
Hindi ko pa rin nakakalimutan how they attacked us way back 10 years ago.
When I arrive at the kitchen, the food was already prepared. Tuwang-tuwa naman ako dahil Mom cooked my favorite dish.
"Eat as many as you can. Alam kong gutom ka."
Mom said laughing.
"Thank you Mommy. I love you"
She then pinched my cheek lightly.
"I love you too, alam mo yan"
Then we started eating. I actually miss us dining in together. Just the two of us.
After we finished eating and watching our favorite series, I look at Mom.
"Pwede ba tayong tabi matulog?"
"Sure. No problem."
Mom smiled at me. Agad naman akong sumunod sa kanya sa kwarto nito.
Third Person's POV
"I promise I will protect you Mom."
Serena said as she was looking at her Mother lovingly who was beside her.
And as she was promising her Mother that she would protect her, someone had also promised to protect her too.
"I promise I will protect you Serena."
The woman in white cloak utters as she leave Serena from moment ago in the alley.
