Serena's POV
"Aww"
I winced in pain as our school nurse aid the cuts on my shoulder.
"Hingang malalim Serena para hindi mo maramdaman ang sakit. Konti na lang." She told me.
Tumango naman ako and do what she told me to do. I breathe in and breathe out as she puts the gauze on my cuts. Nagtataka ako bakit hindi na naghihilom ng kusa ang mga sugat ko. Is my healing power not working anymore?
Jas, Aya and Calla was just right at the corner and was watching me. Paggising ko, nandito sila. They told me, nag-aaral daw sila dito but I doubt that. I think they were here for a mission.
I winced for the second time as the cotton touches my bare cuts.
"Konti na lang Serena. I'll be done. Hingang malalim."
I do as she instructed and after she place the gauze she smiles at me.
"There. Tapos na."
I said my thank you and as she exits the room at mabilis akong linapitan nina Jas.
"Gosh Serena, okay ka lang ba? Right, alam kong hindi ka okay obviously pero okay ka lang ba?" tanong ni Aya.
Napatawa ako. "Okay na ako. This were just cuts." I assured her.
"Ano bang nangyari Serena? We suddenly got a call na nahulog daw kayo ni Cheska sa bangin." tanong ni Calla. Ha? Kami ni Cheska?
"Cheska? What do you mean?" I ask them.
"Ha?" takang tanong pabalik ni Calla.
"Nahulog kayong dalawa ni Cheska, Serena. Wait, bakit hindi ba kayo nahulog na dalawa?" dagdag nitong tanong ng marealize niya ang ibig kong sabihin.
I look at them. Should I tell them na tinulak ako ni Cheska? But wait, how did Cheska fall?
"Kumusta si Cheska?" I ask instead. Hindi ko alam kung anong nangyari but my instincts is telling me that something has happened back there.
"Well, she got lots of bruises and cuts compared sayo. Actually, she's in a more bad condition." Aya said as she sits from my bed.
Napaisip ako. Something strange happened in there I'm sure.
"Baka naman may ginawa sa iyo si Cheska?" tanong ni Jas. "You know that Cheska girl hates you. Nakikita namin ang laging pang aaway niya sayo."
"I doubt that." sagot ni Aya sa tanong ni Jas. "Kung may ginawa nga si Cheska, hindi dapat siya nahulog din."
Ngumiti ako sa kanila. "Hayaan niyo na. Don't worry, okay naman na ako."
Tumango tango si Jas.Hindi ko na sasabihin sa kanila ang nangyari. I am scared they might do something. Besides okay naman na ako.
"Anyway, we'll leave you here Serena. Sabi ng school nurse natin, you need to rest in order for your wounds to heal fast." sabi ni Calla.
Aya pinched my cheek. "Magpagaling ka okay?"
Tumango ako sa kanila. As they leave the room, kumuha ako sa rose na nasa bed side table. Nagtataka ako kung bakit hindi naghilom ang mga sugat ko kaya naisip kong subukan. Maybe my healing power isn't functional anymore. I cut my hands using it's thorns. A small amount of blood pop from the cut but after a few minutes, it healed. Napakunot ako ng noo. Anong nangyayari? Bakit hindi naghihilom ang mga sugat ko from the accident? I tried remembering what had happened pero ang naaalala ko lang ay yung tinulak ako ni Cheska and after that wala na akong maalala. Probably I loss my consciousness when I hit the ground.
I sigh. May mga pasa at gasgas ako sa aking katawan. I close my eyes. Matutulog na lang muna ako saglit. All this happenings is making my head sting in pain.
When I opened my eyes, I found out that I was still at the schools clinic. Tumingin ako sa labas ng bintana only to found out it was already dark. I gasped in shock. Ilang oras ba ako natulog? I look at the room at mukhang wala na atang tao bukod sa akin. Did the school nurse left me here without even waking me up? I tried to listen to know kung may iba pa bang tao dito bukod sa akin but I only heard pure silence. I get off from the bed. I look around para tingnan yung mga gamit ko pero wala. Maybe the school nurse hide it? I shrugged and started my way out to the room. Gabi na at baka nag-aalala na si Mommy. I'm sure marami yung missed calls sa akin but I can't found my phone.
As I was walking my way out of the clinic, I heard someone talked behind me.
"Hi, ikaw ba si Serena?"
I gasped a little in shock when she suddenly showed up infront of me.
"Sorry. Did I scare you?"
I shake my head no. I look at her.
"Ngayon lang po kita nakita. Do you perhaps work in the clinic? New school nurse?" I asked her.
I was looking at her but she doesn't look like one. She had a weird hair. Her lipstick are in full red and so are her blush ons. Nagmukha tuloy siyang clown.
"No. Hindi ako nagtratrabaho dito."
"Okay. Maiwan ko na kayo dito Miss. Uuwi na kasi ako." I told her.
I'm not really the kind of person to talk to strangers. I was ready to go but she held me in my arms.
"Wait may sasabihin akong mahalaga sa iyo."
Napahinto ako ng marinig ko ang sinabi niya. I look at her.
"Serena!"
Lumingon ako and saw Mom approaching me.
"Mom!"
I immediately hug her when she reached my spot.
"Glad I found you here. Hinihintay kitang umuwi pero gabi na hindi ka pa dumarating kaya I decided na sunduin ka. Ano bang ginagawa mo dito? Okay ka lang ba? Anong nangyari?"
Napatawa ako sa sunod-sunod na tanong ni Mommy. Kita sa mukha niya ang pag-aalala.
"Wag kang mag-alala Mommy, okay lang ako. Pauwi na ako pero bigla akong kinausap ni..."
I turn around para ituro ang kausap ko pero wala na ito sa kinatatayuan niya. Tumingin naman sa likod ko si Mommy na nagtataka.
"Anong kausap Serena? Ikaw lang mag-isa dito ng makita kita."
Ha? I look at Mom dumb founded.
"What do you mean ako lang mag-isa Mommy? Hindi mo ba nakita yung babaeng kausap ko dito kanina?"
"Ikaw lang mag-isa dito Serena. You're probably hallucinating. Come on. Umuwi na tayo mukhang pagod ka yata. Halika na."
Inakay naman ako ni Mommy papunta sa kotse niya.
"I'm not hallucinating Mommy. May kausap talaga ako kanina."
Pagpupumilit ko kay Mommy ng makapasok na ako sa kotse at nagsimula na siyang magdrive. Pero umiling-iling lang si Mommy.
"You can sleep Serena. Dala lang yata niyan ng pagod. Gigisingin kita kapag nasa bahay na tayo."
I pouted in my seat. I'm definitely sure I'm not hallucinating. Hinawakan pa nga ako ni Ate kanina. I suddenly feel creeps. Who the hell is that woman? Kung hindi lang dumating si Mommy, nalaman ko sana kung ano yung sasabihin niya. I hope I can see her again. Gusto kong malaman kung ano yung mahalagang sasabihin niya. Who knows it might be about magic.
Gusto kong pumunta sa Cassopeia kaso ayaw ni Mommy. What can go wrong kung pupunta ako doon?
