Bab 1 PROLOGUE

Prince Augustus Cynfael Clemente stood out for his anonymity as a prince. Brought up under the influence of power and monarchy. Maria Gemma Mendoza, who has earned the love and admiration of nearly everyone she knows, is left in a state of complete devastation when her father is falsely accused of being involved in theft. She holds the belief that it is not true.
To conceal the biggest scandal involving their influential family, one prince was kept hidden from the public eye. The other, who held the position of school president, is known to be the daughter of the thief. Despite their differences, these two are intertwined by a shared past that continues to cast a haunting shadow over their present.
---
Resting on the edge of her bed is a folded piece of paper topped with a badge. The badge, which was the catalyst for their first fight, is the one she finds beautiful in the auction room. Her fingers shake as she takes hold of both the badge and the letter.
Gemma's lips quivered as she concealed them with her hand upon discovering that it was the badge. It slipped out of her hand, falling off the blanket that covered her.
Memories of the day she first encountered His Highness flooded her thoughts. She couldn’t help but think about the first argument they had.
The atmosphere became more charged as she boldly asserted, “I am His Majesty's King Lucien’s visitor.”
“Did Your Majesty also allow you to take things without permission?” he added.
“Yes-- no!” I said out loud. Confused, I scratched my head while vehemently denying any involvement in the theft. “Hang on a second! You may be the thief. You were terrified when you saw me, and you’re trying to flee. I knew it! Sometimes the person who appears to be the least dangerous is the scariest.”
The badge, which she had no intention of stealing, marked the beginning of everything.
With trembling fingers, she opened the letter, immediately captivated by the way each letter was carefully written. As she read on, she couldn’t deny that it was indeed him. Overwhelmed by emotions, she found herself sobbing uncontrollably. With tear-filled eyes, she started reading his letter.
My stupid negie, This is obviously not the proper way to begin a letter. If what I said hurts you, I apologize. I'm sure you've noticed that I tend to be reckless. It was you, Gemma, who brought peace and security into my life and helped shape me into the person I am now. That is why I am willing to risk everything I love you more than happy endings
I love you more than life itself. I’ll be right here, loving you until the end.
Your Royal Highness Prince
SEBASTIAN, With each word she read, it caused her chest to ache more and more, intensifying her pain. As she reflects on her thoughts, she becomes aware of the overwhelming feelings of guilt and regret that consume her, and it dawns on her that if they had chosen to be together, this unfortunate situation would not have happened. The priest then blesses the couple, joins their hand together, and asks, “Do you take Prince Augustus Cynfael Hearst Clemente as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part? With a sense of urgency, she swiftly removed the mask that covered his mouth and extracted the needles that had been inserted into her body. She removed the oxygen mask from her mouth, along with the needles that had been placed in her body.
"I do." The best man gives the bride’s ring to the priest, who blesses it and hands it to the groom to place on the bride’s finger. Then, the maid of honor gives the groom’s ring to the priest, who blesses it and hands it to the bride to place on the groom’s finger. "I take this ring as a sign of my love and faithfulness in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." Despite being exhausted and out of breath, Gemma pushed herself to keep running until her body could no longer go on. Feeling a wave of intense anguish, she abruptly stopped in her tracks, tightly gripping her chest and succumbing to the misery that consumed her, knowing all too well that he would soon desert her. With a gentle tone, His Highness Prince Augustus whispered into her ear, uttering the words “I can’t breathe...” The sound of his crying and suffering echoed loudly over the road, intensifying the agonizing moment. “I can’t say I do without you.” The impact of Raeanna’s words remains with her, occupying her thoughts for the rest of the day. Now, she understand how Raeanna felt the day she decided to leave the prince. Is Raeanna right when she, “Maybe it’s my fate to meet him, but not to be with him,"
